The MMA world is in shock. The winning streak of one of the great pound for pound fighters in the world is over, Miguel Torres (whom many rank as being number 1 on the p4p list) loses to Brian Bowles via a few hard hitting left hooks.

The flight started with action from both sides. Torres looked like he was going to ko Bowles with an early flurry of punches. But Bowles came back and knocked Miguel Torres with a stiff right which put in on his back. Then he finished off in the first round with a flurry of punches.

• Brian Bowles defeated Miguel Angel Torres via KO due to strikes at 3:57 of Round 1 to win the WEC bantamweight title.
• Dominick Cruz defeated Joseph Benavidez via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds.
• Danny Castillo defeated Ricardo Lamas via TKO due to strikes at 4:15 of Round 2.
• Takeya Mizugaki defeated Jeff Curran via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) after three rounds.
• Leonard Garcia defeated Jameel Massouh via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) after three rounds.
• L.C. Davis defeated Javier Vasquez via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28) after three rounds.
• Cole Province defeated Fredson Paixao via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds.
• Shane Roller defeated Marcus Hicks via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds.
